The Coalition for a Better Brewster welcomes acting President Mark Buzzetto as we swing into full court press for the 17th Annual Founder’s Day Main Street Fair.
Mark is the owner of Brewster Flower Garden, a 20 year veteran of Main Street. He is a founding and active member of this organization since its inception in 1992. He single handedly managed our third Fair, memorable for all the fine street activities and the music of the Jon Bates band (and the pretzels!), and has been a mainstay for street décor for each and every Fair. We look forward to his leadership and appreciate his generous on-going commitment to our community in the Heart of Brewster.
The 2008 Street Fair is scheduled for Sunday, October 5th from 10-4pm. This community celebration closes US Rte 6, our Main Street, and offers visitors a variety of goods, food, entertainment and promotion of local services. The day starts with the Rotary’s half marathon and 5K walk/run and this year the Brewster-Carmel Garden Club will host a dedication of a new Blue Star Memorial plaque at the Brewster Train Station Clock plaza. Circus sideshow activities at the Southeast Museum, live music, a performance by the Putnam Chorale, tea & birthday cake to honor Walter Brewster, rides for kids and more, assure a busy day for all!
The Founder’s Day Fair is a celebration of our communities and we hope you can join us for a day of fun in the HEART of Brewster.
